Johann Hamza, The Reader,  Daily Thoughts 02/20/2021 I finished reading Stay Woke A Meditation Guide For the Rest of Us by Justin Michael Williams.  This is a meditation guide for becoming woke.  A lot of it has to do with the term woke which is about awareness of social justice and racism.  The book has quite a bit in it on groups that are repressed and contains meditations for people experiencing racism and discrimination.  There are also meditations focused on social activism.  Many of the meditations also are for people of color or people with different sexual orientations.  This makes this book unique in its content and useful for people from different social and ethnic backgrounds.  The author is a singer, celebrity, and yoga teacher.  He also uses science and psychology in the book in addition to pop.  It was very interesting to read. I started reading Shaping the Future The Fourth Industrial Revolution by Klaus Schwab.  This is a framework for the inclusive introduction of

I read some more of Stay Woke .  I am reading about when is the time best time to meditate.  There is a reminder that it is hard to meditate after you have eaten something; you concentrate on your stomach, not your thoughts. I am also reading The Macedonian Incident.   I am enjoying the characters from the different time periods.  There is often a lot of research and history in writing in a good alternative history.  The authors have to try and figure out how the people from different time periods would act.
