I read some of It Takes What It Takes How To Think Neutrally and Gain Control of Your Life by Trevor Moawad.  This is a book of sports inspiration.  Trevor Moawad is one of the leading mental coaches for sports like basketball and football. I am covering the reference desk for browsing hours. We had a meeting to discuss the time clock today. There has been a lot more activity around the census. I finished reading The Catalogue of Shipwrecked Books by Edward Wilson-Lee.  I was hoping there was a more complete description of the collection.  4,000 of the 15,000 books which Hernando Colon son of Christopher Columbus survived in the Cathedral of Seville. This is more of a biography with reflection on books than a book focused on a great library.  I liked reading it, but it was very different than what I originally thought it might be. I read some more of The Catalogue of Shipwrecked Books.  The title comes from an experience where the author had put together a catalogue of books.  However, many of the books were lost in a shipwreck. I worked on two orders of new books. I spent a little more time preparing for the census. A colleague and I discussed programming. I checked some damaged books. I also suggested some items to be moved to the mezzanine. I put in two orders of material for new books. I ordered some material as giveaways for the census. I read a copy of Bookpage. One of the people laid off who is part time came by.  I am hoping that I can hire them back to cover the computers. I have a copy of Booklist to read. I am doing the desk for curbside pickup. One of our patrons, Dona Elena Hatcher, wrote a book of poetry, Word Dances, Poems on Pointe!   She attended a variety of poetry programs a while ago. I read some more of Moonshots.   I am reading about how Abundance requires technological disruption and new ways of thinking to make long term changes.  Incremental changes do not cause major technological advances.
