I started reading The History of Philosophy by A.C. Grayling which is an overview of philosophy. I put in two orders of new books.  I also spent some time looking through the new books section. I checked for some missing items. I also put away some art books. I finished rereading It Takes What It Takes How to Think Neutrally and Gain Control of Your Life by Trevor Moawad. I read some more of The New Class War.   There is a lot of jargon in this book.  Some of it is interesting.  Words and concepts  like cryptofascist, neoliberal, asymmetric multiculturalism, and democratic pluralism.  These are often not clear with their exact meaning, but they sound great. I picked some books to be moved to the mezzanine in the biography section. I checked for some missing items today.

I also read some more of The New Class War.  The book posits that there is an overclass of highly educated managers who are increasingly coming into conflict with working class people.  It redefines many ideas about class struggle and class in the United States. I read the New York Times newspaper on the way to work. I put in two orders for new books.   I checked the new books section. I read a copy of the New York Times Book Review.  I looked through a copy of Library Journal and a copy of the New York Review of Books. I watched a video for sexual harassment training.  It is an annual requirement to take training on how to avoid sexual harassment in New York every year. My colleague is going to National Night Out which is a community building activity to improve relations between the police and the community.   https://natw.org/  I did a lot of little odds and ends.  I contacted a local author about her book.  I cleaned my desk a little bit.  I made a claim for a damaged book.
