Daily Thoughts 01/21/2021

I finished reading Think Like A Monk Train Your Mind for Peace and Purpose Every Day by Jay Shetty.  There is a final reminder that meditation makes peoples lives better.  I found it to be an interesting book.  The author was a monk in an ashram for three years.  There are numerous references to the Bhagavad Gita as well as different monk practices in christianity and zen.  The best part were the meditative exercises.  I found them to be very well informed.

I started reading The Human Cosmos Civilization and the Stars by Jo Marchant.  This book is about the connection between astronomy, humanity, and the rise of civilization.

I checked the Twitter and Facebook Group for the library this afternoon.
