Daily Thoughts 12/01/2020 

 I checked the library Twitter and Facebook Group this morning.

I read some more of The End of Mental Illness.  I am reading about the importance of sleep.

I checked the displays.

I picked out some biography books to be moved to the mezzanine.

I spent some time weeding the fiction books in the mezzanine.

I worked on scheduling for next month.

I am checking a shelf list for video casettes.


Book Expo and Bookcon are being retired.

I put in two orders for new books. I did some weeding in the mezzanine in the 800s. I wrote a little bit about programs which we plan to do in the coming months. We have been doing the summer reading program. More people have started to come back in.  It is very quiet right now.   Carnegie Library, Houston, Texas, 1907 Daily Thoughts 08/10/2021 I checked the new books display this morning. I read a copy of the New York Times Book Review and the New York Review of Books. I worked on orders of new books. I worked an order of new books focused on local authors and independent authors. I sent in my monthly report for August. I did some weeding in the 800s in the mezzanine. I worked a little bit on grants.
